The president visited Decatur's College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center to stress the importance of young children going to preschool, one of the main issues announced during Obama's State of the Union address.

  • A protester who was pepper sprayed in the face by police is treated by a medic on September 4, 2008 during the last day of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. Later that evening police chased hundreds of protesters in the streets before gassing them with tear gas and exploding percussion grenades. Hundreds of people were arrested including many journalists, and most of the charges were later dropped.

  • As Georgia Governor Nathan Deal's inauguration started, more than 100 progressive advocates peacefully filed inside the Gold Dome to stage a die-in outside the House chamber where the inauguration had just begun. The protesters were demonstrating against police brutality and urging lawmakers to expand Medicaid. One officer warned them to leave the Capitol or else face arrest. <br />

The protesters complied with the orders and left the Gold Dome without incident.

While the Chief was speaking inside the restaurant, a crowd of protesters gathered outside loudly chanting “What are you hiding APD?” They wanted more information about the death of Alexia Christian, the 26-year-old woman who was shot 10 times while sitting in the back of a police car four months ago in Downtown.<br />

Midway through the “Coffee with a Cop,” Alexia’s grandfather, Lucius Christian, approached Turner. He asked the chief to meet with Alexia’s mother, Felecia Christian, who was leading protesters outside.

The teams now travel to Chicago for Tuesday's game before returning to Phillips Arena on Thursday night for a gigantic game six.

Tawu, Tibet. He walked hundreds of miles, when he was 15 to flee Tibet. It took him 3 months traversing the mountainous terrain of the Himalayan mountains of Nepal and Tibet. He had to walk at night to avoid being caught by Chinese soldiers.
